The Business Bureau

The Business Bureau Ltd was started in 1981 in Haywards Heath and its principal activities were photocopying, printing, word processing, plus telex and fax services.

Growing customer demand for business-related products - as distinct from services - resulted in The Business Shop being opened in 1982.

As The Business Bureau continued to develop its range of services for businesses, concurrently The Business Shop was developing its product range to include commercial stationery, briefcases and suitcases, office machines and telecommunications equipment.

Having acquired its own vans it successfully developed commercial business throughout Mid-Sussex, with many other customers located elsewhere throughout the UK.

From the beginning we recognised that, to be successful, we needed to be concerned with a lot more than simply what we are selling and the price we ask for it. We needed to see our business from the customers' point of view and to ensure that in all our dealings we treated customers in the same way we would wish our suppliers to treat us.

We endeavoured to ensure that this probity, integrity, consideration and sensitivity characterised all our relationships and so resulted in us being our customers' preferred supplier. This principle has enabled us to continue growing successfully in spite of mounting competition.
